">le>le>le> Fifth Grade Rallies

The Drug Prevention Resource Center is planning our annual "Just Say No" Fifth Grade Rallies on Wednesday, May 7 & Thursday, May 8 in Lakeland and on Friday, May 9 in Winter Haven. Guest Speaker will be Patrick Grady, a nationally-acclaimed speaker with a humorous, positive message.

The Lakeland Rallies on May 7 & 8 will be held from 10 - 11:45 AM in the Youkey Theatre at The Lakeland Center. The Winter Haven Rally on May 9 will be held at the Polk Community College Gym, also from 10 -11:45 AM.

Three diffferent "Just Say No" contests - Poster, Essay and Poetry - are open for entry to 5th Grade Students who attend the participating schools in the Lakeland/Winter Haven area that are scheduled to attend the 2008 "Just Say No" Rallies. Official Contest Rules will be distributed to participating schools the week of MARCH 17. When you receive the Contest Rules information, please distribute it to your students as soon as possible and encourage them to enter one or all of the contests.

Deadline for contest entries to be delivered to DPRC is FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 2008 by 4:30 PM. Entries may be sent via courier or hand delivered to DPRC at 621 So. Florida Avenue in Lakeland.

All contest entries will be judged by DPRC. Winning students will be recognized on stage at the rally. Overall First Place Winner, of all fifth graders in each category, will be awarded $100; Second Place $50; and Third Place $25.
