">le>le>le>RY Contest RulesAny 5th Grade Student in the Lakeland/Winter Haven area who is invited to attend the 2008 "Just Say No" Rally with their school may submit an entry in one or all of the "Just Say No" Poster, Essay or Poetry contests.
Students may enter 1 or all 3 of our Just Say No Contests, but may enter only 1 in each category. All entries must be produced entirely by the fifth grader submitting the entry.
By entering our contests, all entries become the property of the Drug Prevention Resource Center and may be used in our literature.
Please read the following contest rules carefully & then get working! All entries MUST BE received by the DPRC office by MONDAY, APRIL 18, 2008 at 4:30 PM!
POETRY CONTEST RULES
1. Poem theme should explain why you believe it is important to be free of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
2. Poem must be a minimum of 10 lines and a maximum of 20 lines. The entry must be typewritten, double-spaced on one side of the paper only.
3. DO NOT SIGN the Front of the Poem, but write your full name and school on a blank sheet of paper attached to the last page of your poem.
4. One First Place Winner will be selected from each school and will be recognized at the rally.
5. Overall First Place Winner will receive $100; Second Place $50; and Third Place $25.
REMEMBER: Poems MUST BE received by the DPRC office by MONDAY, APRIL 18, 2008 at 4:30 PM!
Entries will be considered only if they are produced by the EXACT GUIDELINES above and are received by the deadline, APRIL 18.
